Michael Johnson

Chief Executive Officer & President

Mike Johnson was a founder of Road Safety Services and has served as President since inception. Prior to Road Safety Services Mr. Johnson held various Chief Financial, Chief Operating Officer and President roles in a number of private equity sponsored businesses that served the infrastructure and utility service sectors.

Mr. Johnson is a graduate of The University of Nebraska at Omaha where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting (Magna Cum Laude). Mr. Johnson also served as a machine gunner in United States Marine Corps.


Scott Roberts

Chief Financial Officer

Scott Roberts joined Road Safety Services as the Chief Financial Officer in 2022 where he currently leads the corporate finance and human resources functions.  Prior to joining RSS, Mr. Roberts served in various CFO and Senior Vice President roles with public, private, non-profit, and private-equity sponsored businesses.  Mr. Roberts has worked in a number of different industries in his career, including: public education, corporate relocation and moving, database/technology management services, entertainment, and banking.

Mr. Roberts has over 30 years of experience leading functions, large and small, in both privately-held and publicly-traded companies.  He is a hands-on leader with extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, strategic planning, transaction due diligence (both debt and M&A), acquisition integration, and risk management / insurance.  Mr. Roberts has successfully managed due diligence processes on several major debt, IPO, and private equity transactions in his career.

Mr. Roberts has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), with a specialization in Accounting, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  He has served as an Advisory Board member of the Salvation Army and was also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Nebraska Liquid Asset Fund (NLAF).

Dan Harvey

Chief Operating Officer

Dan Harvey was named Chief Operating Officer at Road Safety Services in February 2020. Prior to that, he served as president at two separate RSS operating companies, Pavement Marking and Sir Lines-A-Lot.

Before joining the highway safety industry Mr. Harvey worked in manufacturing where he was a division president at Klinger IGI taking the lead on post-acquisition integration. Starting in 1999, Mr. Harvey was with Precision Gasket Company for over fifteen years. From 2011 to 2015 he served as President and Chief Operating Officer when the company more than doubled earnings. From 1999 to 2011, he led Precision’s product development, engineering and manufacturing teams.

Mr. Harvey has a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth and completed the Minnesota Executive Program at the Carlson School of Management-University of Minnesota.

Mr. Harvey has served on the board of directors for the International Association of Diecutters and Diemakers. He has sponsored high school STEM internships for students interested in manufacturing and design engineering careers.


Juan Arvizu

Senior Director of Business Development

Juan Arvizu was a former owner of Pavement Marking, LLC (PMI) until he sold the company to RSS in 2018. After the sale to RSS, Mr. Arvizu remained at PMI as Vice President of Business Development. In 2022 Mr. Arvizu was promoted to RSS as Senior Director of Business Development.

Mr. Arvizu has over twenty years of pavement marking management experience. He led the strategic growth of PMI in Arizona and Texas by securing high-profile strategic partnerships that lead to increase sales as well as customer retention.

Prior to entering the pavement marking industry Mr. Arvizu held management and supervisory positions at the Arizona Department of Transportation as a consultant, and Granite Construction Heavy Civil Division.

Mr. Arvizu currently serves on the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) board of directors and is a past chairperson. Over his two decades of service, Mr. Arvizu has held various leadership roles within the association at the state and national level. Mr. Arvizu also serves on the Arizona Maintenance Superintendents Association board of directors.

Mr. Arvizu holds an Associate of Applied Sciences from Mesa Community College and has completed Non-Commission Officers leadership training courses through the United States Army. Mr. Arvizu is a veteran of the United States Army.

On his spare time Mr. Arvizu devotes time to his three children and grandchildren. He continues to serve his fellow veterans at the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars in Chandler, Arizona.

Lee Gregory

Operating Partner

Lee Gregory is the founder of Sir Lines-A-Lot (SLAL) and was CEO until he sold the company to RSS in 2017. Mr. Gregory joined the RSS team as the Operating Partner to assist in operations, acquisitions and growth. Prior to starting SLAL Mr. Gregory held operational leadership roles at Target Inc. in Minnesota and H.E.B Inc. in Texas. Mr. Gregory was also a Captain in the US Army, stationed in Germany. Mr. Gregory’s 15 years of painting roads and re-building striping trucks, coupled with his operational leadership background give him a unique perspective to this highly specialized industry. Mr. Gregory is a New Hampshire native and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in business administration. Mr. Gregory lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with his wife and 3 children. Outside of attending hockey games and horse shows to watch his kids, Mr. Gregory enjoys travel and all things aviation. He is an FAA licensed commercial airplane, seaplane and helicopter pilot.


Megan Decker

Operating Partner

Megan Decker is the founder of Mega Rentals, Inc. and was its President until she sold the company to RSS in 2023.  Ms. Decker joined the RSS team as an Operating Partner to assist in operations and business development.  Ms. Decker is a third-generation traffic safety professional and is active in the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association and ABC of Wisconsin serving on the Board of Directors for each organization. Ms. Decker graduated (Summa Cum Laude) from Arizona State University with her bachelor’s degree.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Aldo Leopold Nature Center focusing on wildlife education, conservation, and land stewardship.  Ms. Decker lives in Monona, Wisconsin with frequent travels to Arizona and Florida to spend time with her family.  In addition to enjoying travel, she is active in local animal rescue organizations and fosters senior dogs.
